the new syllabus is a perfect blend of Core IT Skills, Professional Skills and Cloud
Technology to ensure that the student's IT knowledge & skills are mapped to the
industry requirements and entry-level role competencies.
2. Blend of Core IT Skills, Professional Skills & Cloud Technology
The New GNIIT comprises of Core- General and Core- IT courses, disciplinary courses
aligned to current and future technologies as well as elective courses available
in Semester 5. Elective courses give an option to choose as per individual's interests.
It also consists of disciplinary courses mapped to the current or the upcoming technologies.
3. Credit-Based Architecture
The credit based syllabus architecture allows defining different weightage to different
courses in a programme based on its utility in the overall programme structure.
The New GNIIT aims to adopt the credit-based system to offer learning flexibility
to the students Under the Programme student is required to complete the required
number & type of courses and thereby, accumulated the required number of credits
4. Cloud & Collaborative Learning Model
The new GNIIT syllabus is based now based on Cloud & Collaborative Learning Model.
This pioneering initiative takes learning beyond the traditional student-teacher
relationship. It helps seamlessly blend the Instructor-led Classroom based learning,
Virtual Classrooms and Online Learning using Cloud services being offered through
India's First Cloud Campus eco-system.
5. Global Technology Certifications
Global technology certifications focus on business, professional and core technology
skills. The certifications are awarded by Technology partners like Microsoft, Oracle,
and SAS to specific job roles.
6. Architecture-Based Multiple Job Profiles
The GNIIT programme is a multi-profile structure. This structure enables the student
to choose a learning path for his/her career.
7. Communication and Professional Skills
Communication forms a part a every semester to develop well-rounded IT professionals.
8. Industry Internship
A year of Professional Practice at the end of graduation and five semesters at NIIT
exposes our students to working in a real industry environment. It is an internship
